Our group specializes in farms, dairies, ranches, livestock facilities and small acreages. Westerra AG provides GIS mapping, water rights research and assistance with CAFO and livestock permitting. Not only do we have extensive experience with sales of agricultural properties, we are also individually engaged in other agricultural ventures and consulting.

The short answer is, we hate surprises. Therefore, we take extreme measures to ensure that there are none. We do extensive research on every property that we represent on behalf of Buyers or Sellers. Our research includes legal descriptons and detailed GIS mapping, easements, identifying property setbacks, water rights, CAFO permits, soils data, the growing season (heat units), irrigation systems, FSA records, grazing permits and equipment inventories. We also investigate all issues that any regulatory agency may have with a property. This would include federal, state and county compliance with Confined Animal Feeding Operations, conditional use permits, grazing permits, nutrient management, waste discharges and NRCS restrictions.
